Kristi Wallis is a neutral and independent facilitator of electric utility negotiations relating to transmission, energy, and natural resource matters. She coordinated the process that led to the formation of ColumbiaGrid, and continues as the ColumbiaGrid Coordinator with co-responsibility for the ColumbiaGrid, Northern Tier Transmission Group, and WestConnect Joint Initiative. Kristi’s other transmission work includes facilitating a number of sub-regional and regional processes (Transmission Improvements Group (TIG), RTO West/Grid West [Planning and Market Monitoring], SSG-WI Market Monitoring, and IndeGO) and mediating and arbitrating a number of transmission disputes. Some examples of her non-transmission work include the renewal of the Pacific Northwest Coordination Agreement (facilitator), the relicensing of the Lewis River hydroelectric projects (facilitator and mediator), Bonneville Power Administration’s Slice Product (mediator), Oregon Public Utility Commission settlement discussions regarding the acquisition of PacifiCorp by MidAmerican (moderator), and work on Columbia River Treaty, non-Treaty, Northwest Power Act, and Endangered Species Act issues.
Kristi holds a degree in law from the University of Oregon.
